Te Ramaroa Event: 9 - 13 July 2021
Te Ramaroa will be staged for the fifth time in 2021 from 9 – 13 July, with an outdoor gallery of brilliant light installations.
Te Ramaroa is a biennial event staged by Te Ramaroa Trust.
As a free community event, the emphasis is on accessibility:
- both in the support given to schools and community groups to take part,
- and as an event that everyone – from toddlers in their jammies to the elderly in their walkers – can attend and enjoy.
As well as the submissions from practising artists and groups, Te Ramaroa includes works submitted by Creative Industries students at NMIT. We also commission works from noted national and international artists working in film and digital media.
As well as dazzling light, many works emphasise performance and music, with high levels of interaction and surprise for the viewer.
Te Ramaroa is now a proud feature on the Nelson & Tasman events calendar, standing out in winter as a beacon for the local community and visitors to the region.
To ensure Te Ramaroa is accessible to the whole community, with the support of our sponsors, admission is free.
